YANGON, Sept. 22 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar authorities have seized a large haul of stimulant tablets in the country, according to the Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control (CCDAC) on Friday.
In the northern state of Kachin, a task force confiscated 46,250 stimulant tablets in Myitkyina Township on Thursday, and three suspects, all men, were arrested along with the seizure, the CCDAC said.
In Yangon Region of south Myanmar, police seized 200,000 stimulant tablets in Mingaladon Township and 520,000 stimulant tablets in Shwepyitha Township on Sept. 14, with five suspects arrested for the case, the committee said.
The suspects were charged under the Southeast Asian country's Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, and further investigations were underway, it said.
