YANGON, Sept. 21 (Xinhua) -- The Myanmar police arrested four suspected drug traffickers in the country on Wednesday, according to statements released by the Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control (CCDAC) on Thursday.
In Shan State of eastern Myanmar, anti-narcotic police arrested two suspects in Tachileik Township and confiscated 12,000 stimulant tablets from them, the CCDAC said.
In the Mandalay Region of central Myanmar, police arrested one suspect in Chanmyathazi Township and seized 3,200 stimulant tablets from him, it said.
In Yangon Region of southern Myanmar, police arrested one suspect in Hlaingthaya Township and confiscated 2,800 stimulant tablets from him, it said.
The suspects were charged under the Southeast Asian country's Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, and further investigations were underway, it said.
