YANGON, Sept. 18 (Xinhua) -- At least four people died and four people were injured on Monday in a bus accident in Hlaingthaya Township of Yangon Region, Myanmar, according to traffic police.
The incident occurred on Monday evening when a speeding public bus rammed into a cyclist and then crashed into a power pole and roadside shops.
Two women and one man died at the scene, and another man was dead on arrival at the hospital, the police said, adding that four people were injured.
"We don't know if the death toll will increase or not among the injured," an official from the rescue organization in Hlaingthaya told Xinhua on Monday.
The injured were rushed to the Hlaingthaya Hospital and are receiving medical treatment.
