ISLAMABAD, May 26 (Xinhua) -- Two policemen were killed and three others injured in an explosion inside a police station in Khyber district of Pakistan's northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Friday morning, police said.
Investigation into the incident is underway, but apparently, it happened due to the accidental explosion of a hand grenade when a policeman was checking it, Divisional Police Officer of Khyber district Saleem Abbas told media.
He said that the injured people including an officer have been shifted to a nearby hospital.
The site inside the police station has been cordoned off for further investigation.
