COLOMBO -- Sri Lanka needs to pay 587 million U.S. dollars for planned fuel imports until mid-August, said Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera on Sunday.

Sri Lanka has to make these payments to several foreign oil companies from Monday for different shipments of fuel, Wijesekera told reporters. (Sri Lanka-Fuel)

CANBERRA -- Australia has surpassed 10,000 coronavirus deaths as COVID-19 case numbers continue to rise in the country, with 30 more deaths reported on Sunday.

BAGAN, Myanmar -- China and Myanmar agreed here on Sunday to work together to further build a community with a shared future.

NEW DELHI -- India has slammed the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) over what it described as biased and inaccurate comments on India.
