COVID-19 infections rise to 519,102 in Myanmar

YANGON, Nov. 23 (Xinhua) -- The number of COVID-19 cases has risen to 519,102 in Myanmar after 631 new coronavirus infections were reported in the past 24 hours, according to a release from the Ministry of Health on Tuesday.

The country recorded seven new deaths in the pandemic, bringing the death toll to 19,041 on Tuesday, the release said.

A total of 492,558 recovered patients have been discharged from hospitals and over 5.4 million samples have been tested for COVID-19 so far in the Asian country.

Myanmar detected its first two COVID-19 cases on March 23 last year.
