COVID-19 cases increase to 274,155 in Myanmar

YANGON, July 26 (Xinhua) -- The number of COVID-19 cases in Myanmar has increased to 274,155 on Monday after 4,630 new cases were reported in the past 24 hours, according to a release from the Ministry of Health and Sports.

A total of 396 new deaths were reported, bringing the death toll to 7,507 in the country as of Monday, the release said.

According to the ministry's release, a total of 189,729 patients have been discharged from hospitals and over 3.08 million samples have been tested for COVID-19 so far.

Myanmar detected its first two COVID-19 cases on March 23 last year.
