DHAKA, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) -- A total of 181,439 people received the COVID-19 vaccine across Bangladesh on Thursday, as a total of 2,850,940 people in the country have received the first jab of the vaccine, according to the country's Directorate General of Health Services.
The countrywide COVID-19 vaccination drive kicked off on Feb. 7.
Bangladesh said on Tuesday that it will start administering the second dose of COVID-19 vaccine from April 7.
The Bangladeshi government is planning to vaccinate 16.9 million people from varied high-risk groups on a priority basis.
More than 4 million people have so far registered for receiving the COVID-19 vaccine in the country.
