Myanmar reports 7 new COVID-19 cases, 2 new deaths

YANGON, Feb. 20 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar recorded seven new cases of COVID-19 and two more deaths in the past 24 hours, bringing its total tally to 141,735 with 3,196 deaths, according to its Health Ministry on Saturday.

The official data showed a total of 131,249 recovered patients have been discharged from hospitals.

On Saturday, 879 more samples were tested for COVID-19 in the Southeast Asian country, down from around 10,000 samples tested daily in the first week of this month.

Myanmar reported its first confirmed case of COVID-19 in March last year.
