MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur, Jan. 23 (PIA) -- A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the Bangsamoro Government and the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) was signed on Wednesday, January 22, at the Bangsamoro Government Center, in Cotabato City.
The said agreement aimed to professionalize the bureaucracy of the Bangsamoro Government, through a ladderized masteral program for senior and middle managers, and Complete Staff Work (CSW) training for the officers and staff of the Office of the Chief Minister (OCM).
Bangsamoro Chief Minister Ahod "Al Haj Murad" Ebrahim said that this is one of the Bangsamoro Government's ways to give effect to its vow of 'moral governance'.
"When we campaigned for the Bangsamoro Organic Law, we promised the people a better government [...] Along with DAP, the Bangsamoro Government aims to produce able, competent and morally upright individuals who do not have any other agenda but to serve the people," he said.
Ebrahim also said the partnership with DAP is very timely, considering that Bangsamoro Government is now undergoing massive recruitment and selection process for the new positions in the new bureaucracy.
Meanwhile, DAP President Atty. Engelbert C. Caronan Jr. said that their mandate is to intervene in three levels: human capacity, institutional level, and to assist the government in terms of policymaking.
He also said they are ready to help and respond in all means.
The DAP is a government organization established since 1973, which is mandated to assist government agencies and private institutions in forming government policies, crafting development programs, and enhancing management strategies. (Bureau of Public Information/PIA10)
