Tata Hexa is one of the most capable 4×4 SUV to be made in India. Not only owners of Hexa, but in off-road enthusiasts in general stand by the car's pff-roading performance. After months of product testing, Bangladesh Army has decided to purchase 200 units of Made in India Tata Hexa 4×4 SUVs.

Tata Hexa was able to meet all the requirements and specifications of the Bangladesh Army. The feat is no small one, as Tata Motors had to compete against other capable SUVs. For Tata, this is the auto manufacturer's first key order from the Bangladesh Army.

Sujan Roy - Head - International Business, Passenger Vehicles, Tata Motors said, "Bangladesh is a key market for us and this order is a clear sign of Tata Motors' commitment and growing success in the market. We are exploring multiple avenues to work closely with the Bangladesh armed forces and look forward to a long and rewarding partnership for both parties."

Tata Motors sells PVs in Bangladesh since 2012. At present, Tata Motors is positioned among the top two best-selling passenger vehicle brands in Bangaladesh. The Tata Hexa is not sold in Bangladesh. It's being made available exclusively for the use of the Armed Forces. Tata Hexa performance, comfort features tipped the scales in its favour. Also, widely available service and spares in Bangladesh makes The Tata Hexa a preferred choice for the Bangaladesh army.

In the domestic front, Tata Hexa sales has dwindled. The Indian auto industry is strategically poised for BSVI compliancy from April 1, 2019. This would mean the Hexa would have to be BSVI compliant within 9 months. Or not.

Tata Motors already has a 7-seater, as of now called Tata Buzzard, awaiting launch. This is the bigger seat option of the harrier that's currently on sale. It remains to be seen if Tata would go with two big SUVs on two platforms. In keeping with Tata Motors' all new approach of modern cars, Tata Hexa in its current form seems quite dated. Remember the Aria. Yes, that old. Ancient if you will when we consider how fast things are changing on the automotive front.
