AirAsia to extend its reach on multiple exchanges

AirAsia, one of Asia's most popular budget airlines, plans to list on the Thai and Indonesian stock exchanges.

Hoping to tap the region's capital markets, AirAsia is currently listed only in Malaysia.

The company's executive has said the move onto the two extra stock exchanges would give the airline more of a Southeast Asian identity.

Despite a rocky year for Asian airlines, AirAsia has become the most travelled airline in Southeast Asia, with more than 70 destinations across 20 countries.
