Yemenia black boxes emit signals

Myanmar News.Net
Sunday 5th July, 2009

The Yemen Airways Airbus A310 which crashed five days ago, may be about to give up its black box recorders.

The plane crashed into the Indian Ocean off the Comoros Islands.

French investigators claim they have now detected a signal from the plane’s flight recorders.

French naval officials have said it will probably be several days before the recorders can be recovered.

The plane crashed 15 minutes before it was due to land at Moroni airport on the Comoros archipelago.

Of the 153 people on board, only a 12-year-old girl survived after she clambered onto wreckage.
