Iraq and US officials close to withdrawal timetable

Myanmar News.Net
Thursday 7th August, 2008

Iraqi officials have revealed the US and Iraq are close to a deal under which all American combat troops would be out of Iraq by October 2010.

The remaining US forces would be gone about three years later.

US officials in Washington have so far given no clear dates on withdrawal of US troops but have acknowledged progress has been made on the departure dates.

They have said withdrawing American forces would not include a specific timetable but be based on security conditions at the time.

The withdrawal timetable is part of a security agreement being negotiated by US and Iraqi officials in Baghdad to give both Iraq and the US some flexibility.

On Thursday, Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr said he would call on his fighters to maintain a cease-fire against American troops, but could lift the order if a timetable for the withdrawal of American forces was not forthcoming.

Iraq and US officials close to withdrawal timetable

US has got the wrong thinking that they can do in Irag what they did in Japan and S.Korea. Help them, then establish military bases there. Well, these people are not grateful,YELLOW asians who will acquisce and pander to the US’s demands. After eliminating Saddam for them,US now finds that they have overstayed their welcome. Maliki is a shite, wouldn’t be surprising for Irag to one day become a part of Iran. Pity the minority sunnis there. This is the result of US’s meddling in other people’s countries!

Muqtada al-Sadr says jump! America say’s how High.
Muqtada al-Sadr is the only reason the Surge has worked.
Muqtada al-Sadr will stop you getting any bases in Iraq.
I thought America was winning ummm what where you going to win again.
As hard as you try to destory the opposition parties(Muqtada al-Sadr) with depleted uranium and white phosphorus,
The people want the INVADERS gone.
With the British/American dictator Sadam gone. The Iraq people have a thirst for FREEDOM, Just like in Vietnam where after the defeat of the colonialists,America tried to fight a whole population resolved to be able to make there own choices for there homeland.
Like all American wars in the last 50 years all that is achieved is enviromental vandalism, a few fat turds getting fatter and a load of suffering.

Would you believe the Iragi goverment has billions of dollar surplus and they can even a good electrical system. May be they are so over shocked that they do know how to spend the money. They could build school, update their hospitals. They can hire the best doctor to do medical services for the people.
