Another body found on stricken ship
Myanmar News.Net Saturday 28th January, 2012
Recovery operations continuing around the stricken cruise ship, Costa Concordia, have resulted in another body being found.
The body of the victim was taken from a submerged deck.
The female, so far unidentified, was discovered on deck six, which has been underwater since the Costa Concordia ran aground on rocks with some 4,200 people aboard.
The ship, still lying on its side off the Tuscan island of Giglio, is believed to contain another fifteen bodies.
Meanwhile, treacherous waves on Saturday caused salvage technicians to cease the siphoning of over 2,000 tonnes of fuel from the tanks of the Concordia.
At one stage, waves were reaching more than one metre in height.
