Myanmar marks int'l day of intangible cultural heritage

YANGON, Oct. 17 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar marked the International Day of the Intangible Cultural Heritage on Friday, highlighting efforts to preserve and promote the country's rich cultural traditions.

Deputy Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture Daw Nu Mra Zan emphasized the importance of raising public awareness about intangible cultural heritage.

The International Day of the Intangible Cultural Heritage aims to raise awareness of the vital importance of safeguarding intangible cultural heritage for future generations.
